Gary DurhamGary Durham has been assisting clients with economic damages calculations, valuation, forensic accounting, financial forecasting, and financial issues in bankruptcy since 1993. His industry experience runs the gamut from old economy manufacturing to cutting edge high technology and health care companies. He has worked with both small family businesses and Fortune 500 Companies.

Gary's considerable experience preparing expert witness testimony includes damage calculations and other valuation-related financial analysis. He is experienced in analyzing, preparing, and rebutting claims for entities involved in litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes. He also has advised clients on intellectual property matters, including those involving trade secrets, patents, trademarks, copyrights, customer lists, and proprietary software. He has been retained as an expert witness in numerous high-stakes litigation consulting engagements and has significant trial and deposition testimony experience.

Gary has prepared valuations for mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, bankruptcies, issues of solvency, business owner disputes, financial reporting, and estate and gift tax planning. He has valued businesses, debt and equity securities, intellectual property, and tangible assets in a broad array of industries.

Gary has been a financial advisor to numerous debtors and creditors' committees on a broad range of financial issues including solvency, fraudulent conveyance, preferential transfers, reorganization value, securities valuation, contract rejection claims, crisis cash flow forecasting, capital structure, liquidation values, and business plan evaluation and development.

Prior to founding Gary Durham Consulting, Gary was a Director at AlixPartners, the National Director of the Valuation Advisory Services Group of JPMorgan Chase (formerly Bank One), and a Manager in the Valuation, Dispute Analysis and Corporate Recovery practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA from New Mexico State University where he earned the following honors: High Honors Graduate; Most Outstanding Student in Finance, Real Estate, and Insurance; First Team NCAA Academic All-American; and Big West Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Gary is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), and earned a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation (CDBV). He is a member of the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. Gary has published articles and spoken on a broad range of financial and valuation issues. He was also a part-time professor at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2007 through 2009, teaching Corporate Finance & Policy to Masters in Finance students.

Gary has formed alliances with PhDs, interim management professionals, Sarbanes-Oxley experts, business executives, and other CPAs, CIRAs, and MBAs in developing resources upon which he can draw to complete a professional team, if necessary.
